World Federation for Mental Health World Mental Health Day Theme

May 1, 2022

Dear WFMH Members, Mental Health Advocates and Supporters,

Re: World Federation for Mental Health World Mental Health Day Theme 10 October 2022: Make Mental Health & Well-Being for All a Global Priority

I am following up on the announcement by WFMH President, Dr Nasser Loza to invite you to participate in this year’s World Mental health Day 2022 campaign on 10 October.

I also want to say thank you to those of you who have already been in contact to pledge support for this year’s campaign with the theme ‘Make Mental Health & Well-Being for All a Global Priority’ chosen by a global vote that was open to the public, including WFMH members, stakeholders, and supporters.

The 2022 World Mental Health Day theme ‘Make Mental Health & Well-Being for All a Global Priority’ provides us with an opportunity to re-kindle our efforts to make the world a better place.

We are at a cross-roads. It is imperative to take the correct path.

COVID 19 has shown that no nation was prepared for the associated mental health crisis and the effects of long Covid. We need a new compact for mental health.

Society and citizens matter.

As WFMH Secretary-General, I attach a global brief for you consider and to share.

We will be launching the WMHD 2022 website soon and would love to highlight your work as a mental health advocate. Please get in touch to let me know how you will be contributing to this year’s campaign.
