CSW69 Parallel Event – Empowerment of Women in Mental Health Promotion on 11 March 2025 at Church Center of United Nations, in New York

According to WHO, there is no health without mental health. Many studies reported high prevalence of depression and anxiety in women. And, in view of the multiple roles women are taking up as a mother, sister, daughter, wife, etc, it is important to invest in women's mental health by creating a safe space for women to share their struggles and provide a strong support network. During this event, Silver Ribbon (Singapore) hosted a panel discussion involving the Advisory Panel Members of the Global Alliance for Mental Health Advocates, from Argentina, Australia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sweden, Taiwan (Republic of China), and United States to share on women's mental health. Ms Silvia Raggi (WFMH Board Director) and Prof Unaiza Niaz WFMH member updated the delegates on mental health support in Argentina and Pakistan respectively.
