Franco Basaglia Beyond the Borders: Practices of Freedom

In the framework of the events for Gorizia / Nova Gorica (IT/SLO), European Capital Of Culture, the international conference ‘FRANCO BASAGLIA BEYOND THE BORDERS: PRACTICES OF FREEDOM’ will take place on 12-14 November (see attached Save the Date). In name of Franco Basaglia, the great Italian psychiatrist and mental health reformer, who started his work in Gorizia, the conference will celebrate and discuss his work and his legacy, but also it will take stock of mental health reforms in Europe and worldwide. The conference is sponsored by the WFMH, organized together the WFMH European Region, and its Section on ‘Community Mental Health Development’.
