I bring a combination of professional expertise and unwavering dedication to advancing the mission of the WFMH.

Relevant Experience in Mental Health Advocacy, Education, and Awareness
Over the last 40 years, I have been actively involved in various initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma. My experience includes organizing community workshops focused on mental health literacy, as well as facilitating support groups for individuals, schools, universities, and the broader community.
I have hosted several TV and Radio shows.
I have launched an anti-stigma campaign in the Arab world that has been running for over three years.
I have been able to reach millions of Arabs around the world
These campaigns included educational materials, interactive sessions, and partnerships with local organizations and healthcare providers to disseminate resources. Additionally, I have collaborated with non-profits to advocate for policy changes that ensure equitable access to mental health services.
In addition to advocacy, I have also been involved in responding to wars in the Middle East. Additionally, in establishing training programs for psychiatrists in Jordan, I have been involved in developing psychiatric nursing and clinical psychology in the country.
In addition to that I am chairing the first hybrid residency program in north west Syria, that has started when these areas were in war, and continue after the change in Syria, even spread to be all over Syria Such experiences have not only enriched my perspective but have also deepened my resolve to continue this vital work on a global scale through the WFMH.

Personal Challenge
My commitment to mental health advocacy is deeply personal.
I was shocked to see the situation in Jordan and the Arab world in 1985 after finishing my training in the United Kingdom.
